How do we use your data?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision and proper functioning of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data at any time, free of charge. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
For this purpose, as well as for any further questions regarding data protection, you may contact us at any time at the address provided in the legal notice.

Hosting and Content Delivery Networks
External Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host’s servers. This data may include, but is not limited to, IP addresses, contact requests, metadata and communication data, contractual data, contact details, names, website access data, and other data generated through a website.
The use of the hosting provider is for the purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligations to potential and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online services by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our host will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfill its performance obligations and will follow our instructions with regard to such data.
Conclusion of a Data Processing Agreement
In order to guarantee processing in compliance with data protection regulations, we have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with our hosting provider.
General Information and Mandatory Disclosures
The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
If the data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal
basis on which processing is based can be found in this Privacy Policy. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR).
Where your personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing; this also applies to profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.
SSL or TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Information, Erasure and Rectification
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right to free information at any time about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to the rectification or erasure of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice.
Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data may – apart from their storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
Objection to Marketing Emails
The use of contact data published within the scope of the legal notice obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby prohibited. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of promotional information, such as spam emails.
Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
Our website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These cookies enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to analyze user behavior or display advertising.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies), to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g., for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies for measuring the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies concerned are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); this consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure
your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Insofar as cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you separately within the framework of this Privacy Policy and, if necessary, request your consent.
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address.
These data are not merged with other data sources.
The contract data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this was requested.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to the storage, or the purpose for the data storage no longer applies (e.g., after fulfillment of your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Inquiry by Email, Telephone, or Fax
If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.
The data sent by you to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to the storage, or the purpose for the data storage no longer applies (e.g., after completion of your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Registration on This Website
You can register on this website to use additional functions on the site. We use the data entered for this purpose only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration.
In the event of important changes, such as changes to the scope of the offer or technically necessary changes, we will use the email address provided during registration to inform you in this way.
The data entered during registration is processed for the purpose of implementing the user relationship established by the registration and, if applicable, for initiating further contracts (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on this website and will subsequently be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Analysis Tools and Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. These cookies remain on your computer for a maximum of 2 years. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Please note that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
Your personal data will be transmitted to the United States, where the level of data protection differs from that in the European Union. Consequently, there is a risk that your data may be accessed by US authorities (please refer to Section 2 "Notice on Data Transfer to the USA" of this Privacy Policy).
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR.
IP Anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the United States.
Browser Plug-in to Prevent Data Collection
Alternatively, a cookie can be set during the current session to request that Google does not collect any data.
Order Processing
We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic Features in Google Analytics
This website uses the "demographic features" function of Google Analytics to display relevant advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. This function allows reports to be generated containing information regarding the age, gender, and interests of website visitors. This data derives from interest-based advertising from Google as well as third-party visitor data. This data cannot be assigned to a specific individual. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as explained in the section "Objection to Data Collection".
Google Analytics E-commerce Tracking
This website uses the "E-commerce Tracking" function of Google Analytics. E-commerce Tracking allows the website operator to analyze the purchasing behavior of website visitors in order to improve their online marketing campaigns. This function collects information such as the number of orders, average order values, shipping costs, and the time from viewing a product to its purchase. Google aggregates this data under a transaction ID assigned to the respective user or their device.
Storage Period
User and event-level data stored by Google associated with cookies, user identifiers (e.g., User ID), or advertising IDs (e.g., DoubleClick cookies, Android Advertising ID) will be anonymized or deleted after 14 months. For details, please see the following link:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=en-GB
Google Ads
The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordo
n House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Ads allows us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters specific search terms into Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on user data available at Google (e.g., location data and interests) (audience targeting). As a website operator, we can quantitatively evaluate this data by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many ads resulted in clicks.
The use of Google Ads is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its services and products as effectively as possible.
Google Remarketing
This website uses the features of Google Analytics Remarketing. The service provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Remarketing analyzes your user behavior on our website (e.g., clicks on specific products) in order to classify you into specific advertising target groups and subsequently display relevant web messages to you when you visit other online offers (remarketing or retargeting).
Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Remarketing can be linked with the cross-device functions of Google. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your prior usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g., cell phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC).
The use of Google Remarketing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its products as effectively as possible. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Target Group Formation with Customer Match
For the formation of target groups, we use, among other tools, the Customer Match function of Google Remarketing. In this process, we transmit certain customer data (e.g., email addresses) from our customer lists to Google. If the respective customers are Google users and logged into their Google account, they will be shown relevant advertising messages within the Google network (e.g., YouTube, Gmail, or search engine).
Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The service provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognize whether a user has carried out certain actions. For example, we can analyze which buttons on our website are clicked most frequently and which products are viewed or purchased most often. This information is used to generate conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and what actions they took. We do not receive any information with which the user can be personally identified. Google itself uses cookies or similar identification technologies for user identification.
The use of Google Conversion Tracking is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offering and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Google DoubleClick
This website uses features of Google DoubleClick. The service provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter "DoubleClick").
DoubleClick is used to display interest-based advertisements to you across the Google advertising network. With the help of DoubleClick, the advertisements can be tailored precisely to the interests of the respective viewer. For example, our advertising may appear in Google search results or on banners associated with DoubleClick.
In order to display interest-based advertising to users, DoubleClick must be able to recognize the respective visitor and link the websites visited, clicks, and other user behavior information. For this purpose, DoubleClick uses cookies or similar identification technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). The information collected is aggregated into an anonymous user profile in order to display interest-based advertising to the respective user.
The use of Google DoubleClick is for the purpose of targeted advertising. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Newsletter
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data are not collected or are only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter subscription form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address, and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data deposited with us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored for other purposes with us remains unaffected by this.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will be used solely for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements for
sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
Shopify
This website uses Shopify's default email delivery system to send newsletters. The service provider is Shopify, whose global headquarters is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored on the servers of Shopify under the BIGBAHN account.
If you do not want your data to be analyzed by Shopify, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, a corresponding link is provided in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe directly on the website.
Data Analysis by Shopify
The built-in system analytics provided by Shopify allow us to analyze our newsletter campaigns. For instance, we can determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links within it have been clicked. This enables us to identify which links are clicked most frequently.
Furthermore, we can track whether certain predefined actions were taken after opening or clicking (conversion rate). For example, we can see whether a user made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.
Shopify also allows us to segment ("cluster") the newsletter recipients based on various categories. For instance, recipients can be segmented by age, gender, or geographic location. This enables us to better tailor our newsletters to specific target groups.
Legal Basis
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Storage Period
Plug-ins and Tools
YouTube with Expanded Data Protection (Enhanced Privacy Mode)
This website embeds videos from YouTube.
We use YouTube in the enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the enhanced privacy mode does not necessarily exclude the sharing of data with YouTube partners. For instance, regardless of whether you watch a video, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network.
As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server
which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent attempts at fraud.
If necessary, further data processing operations may be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no control.
YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Google Web Fonts
This website uses the web font DM Sans provided by Google. This font originates primarily from the Colophon Foundry type foundry and was developed under commission from Google. This is used to ensure the uniform display of fonts. Google Fonts are installed locally, and no connection to Google servers is established.
Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at and in Google’s privacy policy.
Google Maps
This page uses the Google Maps service via an API. The service provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence on this data transmission.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and to make the locations specified by us on the website easily findable. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
More information on the handling of user data can be found in the privacy policy of Google.
In-House Services
Handling of Applicant Data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., via email, by post, or via the online application form). In the following, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will be carried out in compliance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Scope and Purpose of Data Collection
When you submit an application to us, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to make a decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) (Data Processing for Employment Purposes).
The processing of special categories of personal data (e.g., health data) is based on Art. 9 GDPR, provided that you have given explicit consent for one or more specific purposes, or if it is necessary to exercise rights or perform obligations under labor law, social security, and social protection law. Within our company, your personal data will only be passed on to persons involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data submitted by you will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.
Data Retention Period
If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you reject a job offer, or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted for up to 6 months after the completion of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application) based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). After this period, the data will be deleted and all physical application documents will be destroyed. This retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute.
If it is evident that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer storage may take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations preclude deletion.
