HPL‑Laminated Series: The 12 mm lightweight core is surfaced with high‑pressure laminate (HPL), typically in a thickness range of 0.45–0.80 mm. This configuration provides high resistance to scratching, abrasion, and elevated temperatures, and is suitable for kitchen countertops and high‑contact surfaces.

Aluminium‑Faced / Aluminium Honeycomb Composite Panels: Although primarily wood‑based, BIGBAHN also supplies aluminium honeycomb panels and composite structures incorporating the lightweight plywood as a surface layer. Batch‑to‑batch colour variation: Minor colour differences may occur between printing batches of decorative films. It is recommended that panels from the same production batch be used for a single furniture assembly.

Screw holding force considerations: The balance between weight reduction and screw holding force must be assessed by the OEM. The 12 mm lightweight plywood meets the requirements for standard furniture applications. For applications demanding maximum screw holding force, the poplar‑hybrid core is recommended over the meranti core.
